First, what a stupid name. People have been killed by this storm, Doris is the name of some old granny who wouldn't hurt anyone. Doris makes you sandwiches with the crusts cut off that are cut into little triangles and all her biscuit tins are full of sewing stuff.

Second, fucking hell, this is awful. Trains are well messed up so I can't get anywhere and the train guy is worried that people won't be able to get home from work. And the canal is too high it's over the locks and that's never a good sign here.

Waking Up Late For My Kids French Lesson 0/1

Man, fuck this shit. One of the reasons we started home educating was because I don't function until at least 10am and the school run was completely unachievable some days.

French has moved from 1:15pm to 10am.

Meaning we have to leave the house at 9:20 to get the train.

So the latest I can get up is 9.

That extra hour is the difference between me being a jibbering mess and a human capable of making a solid contribution to society.

So as I sit in a cafe without any ability to hold my cup of tea because my hands aren't working properly yet, today gets a 0/1.

Pact El Chollo Honey 1/1

By God, this latest offering from Pact is a thing indeed.

Tasting notes are hints of plum and brown sugar, with cane sugar sweetness and a syrupy mouthfeel.

Definitely getting the syrupy feel, it's like drinking maple.

HOWEVER

This coffee basically tastes of a good IPA. It's hoppy. What the actual fuck. How do you make coffee that tastes like it has hops in? It's quite sweet, but WHY. And HOW.

I like IPA but it wasn't what I was expecting. Still, good coffee is good coffee so 1/1.

This Coffee I Got From Lidl 1/1

I got this coffee from Lidl for my drip machine, packaging is purple and it's apparently from Guatemala. Tasting notes are spicy with a hint of blackberry.

Or so the packet says.

It tastes like coffee that isn't the cheap coffee, but it's hardly Pact either.

I get my next Pact coffee on Tuesday. Lord, let it be as tasty as the El Moral I had last time.

However, it is 1am and I am smoking and drinking black coffee to stave off hunger as I Skype with the boy into the early hours so...

The problem with a new blog is knowing exactly where to start. So many options are thrown at you of how you want it to look, which font, colour, size, widget, any number of customisable options.

Quite honestly, when it comes to design I have no idea.

This post is mostly to see how posts look, and what needs an immediate fix.
